Ilda Crompton (Petty Officer First Class)

Crompton is a decorated war hero and veteran power plant engineer with years of experience in the service. She has a knack of keeping even the oldest worn out plant working and never seems to give up on even the most damaged equipment.  She is in her late forties from originally from Anacreon in the Esperance Subsector of the Solomani Rim, where she was earning a living on a Beowulf class free trader.  When the Solomani invaded she was drafted and has served ever since with dedication if not enthusiasm.

She was awarded both the Medal for Conspicuous Gallantry and the Starburst for Extreme Heroism for her service in defence of Sol. Crompton is a veteran of more than a few campaigns and is also a valued engineer. As the conflict has gone on she became more withdrawn and cynical but was careful to keep her opinions to herself so as not to be seen as ‘defeatist’.

Now she is the head engineer on the INS Golden Bough, a TL15 Chryanthemum class destroyer based out of Poldavia  under the composite Imperial Squadron. She has found a new purpose.
