Graustark is the second planet in the Stark star system. There 4 planets and 2 asteroid belts. Stark III is a gas giant as is Stark IV with 23 and 12 moons.
Graustark is home to a world of Jonkeereens, a genetically engineered race of desert dwellers. The Jonkeereen are human chimera sophonts with a human appearance. The average Jonkeereen is tall, thin, and dark-skinned. They were created as part of a project to establish a perfectly desert-adapted human race. How they were settled on the planet is unknown. They are opposed to outside interference and Far Fenwick merely controls one city in the artic region were opencast mining is carried out.
Wüstegrave Beverly haut Malagant is the titular ruler of the planet but his authority barely extends beyond the artic city and starport of Ganloon. He wisely leaves the native Jonkeereens to their business while supporting mining and trade along the Zenda Main.
