Vexilli is a world ruled by the United Guilds, a group of capitalist oligarchs that have carved up the planet between them. The oligarchs meet at the planetary capital, Kifalaf, where they agree on global issues between them, otherwise they rule their own areas with full autonomy.
They believed that they had reached an accord with the Prfyn; in which they gave them the old, weak and unprofitable members of society. Unfortunately they failed to grasp the balkanized nature of the Pryfyn and had merely reached an agreement with one faction and not the most recent one to arrive in system. Following the arrival of a Hive ship in system, it is believed that the world is now, at least partially, infected.
The Vexillians are humans of Terran European descent that know they are not indigenous to the planet but know of no other home. They speak a variant of Brythonic, a Celtic group of languages spoken in the C6th BCE on Terra in North West Europe, predominantly the Atlantic Archipelago.
