Syldavia

Syldavia is the first planet in the Dóro star system, orbiting a F1 type yellow-white Main Sequence star. Dóro II is a barren rock world and Dóro III and IV are gas giants with 19 and 32 satellites.

Syldavia is a water world that is almost completely covered by the Pollishoff world ocean.  A mere 2% is dry land and part of that was the Totor Scout Base, home to the Duchy of Far Fenwick branch of the IISS. The high gravity causes tides to rise and fall with drastic effect and most of the populace live in undersea cities. Many citizens live off the sea and much produce is exported off world.

The planet was under control of the IISS and was run by Senior Scout Leader Mortimer Lee. Until recently the IISS were not fully funded by the Duchy and were very much the junior service when compared to the Navy. The Pryfyn War revitalised the IISS and more funds and ships were assigned to them. Two new squadrons of Type S J-4 100 ton scout couriers joined the scouts who operated an elderly fleet of J-2 100 ton scout ships.

Recently a Pryfyn Strike force entered the system and launched long range nuclear strikes that destroyed both the Totor Scout Base and the Starport. 2.5 million Civilians were killed and many others wounded. The IISS are no longer in control of the system and direct rule has been established from Fenwick.

Brigadier General Bokuden of the Imperial Army now leads disaster relief and the restoration of order on Syldavia. He has a reinforced squadron of heavy SDBs at his disposal.
